Who do I contact to get an address for my property?
The Madison County Emergency Communications District assigns all addresses within the City of Jackson and Madison County. If you have a question about your address or are uncertain what your correct address is, please contact our office for assistance.
3.
What should I know about dialing 9-1-1 from a wireless device?
When the public safety dispatcher answers your call, please be able to give the correct location of the emergency. The District implemented a GIS mapping system in 2002 to assist dispatchers in locating you during an emergency when you dial 9-1-1. This will enable the dispatchers to locate most 9-1-1 calls within 300 meters of their origin.
